Unrestricted access to this website is important to Griesson – de Beukelaer. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn about the popular products, the company and training and job opportunities.
In this way we primarily wish to enable people with physical handicaps, such as a visual impairment, to have access to the content of our website. The website’s source code and its content have been created so that the site can be enlarged or the text can be read aloud by a screen reader. In addition to the multimedia content, there is also additional text for people with hearing difficulties.
However, we also take into account the increasing number of mobile devices. Websites are increasingly visited using mobile phones. Small mobile phone displays in particular present new challenges for website design.
Our aim is to satisfy these demands on our website. We have therefore attached great importance to the barrier-free design of our website. We meet the majority of criteria of the BITV (Ordinance on the Creation of Barrier-free Information Technology) test by the BIK project. BIK is a project planned for three years and is supported by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. In the future, we also aim to further improve these aspects, which are important to us.
