For the second time, in May 2011, Griesson - de Beukelaer (GdB) organised a date for its employees to donate blood at its Polch site. The response was gratifying: altogether, 43 employees donated their blood for a good cause. 
Thereby, the numbers for the first donation drive in February of this year were surpassed even further. It was the first time that 17 of the employees had allowed a larger amount of blood to be taken.  Whether employees in Production, clerks from Administration or members of the Board – they all donated and hence are actively helping people who depend on donated blood in life-threatening situations.

The blood donation was organised by GdB within the framework of the company’s health management. Yet once more, the German Red Cross (DRK) was on hand as our partner in the campaign. As in February, the DRK provided a six-seater Blood Donor Bus and numerous helpers.
