Rainer Bruederle Visits the Griesson - de Beukelaer Stand at ISM
The Federal Minister for Economics and Technology, Rainer Bruederle, opened the 41st International Confectionary Fair (ISM) today in Cologne. In the course of his stay, he visited stands, including the Griesson - de Beukelaer (GdB) stand. ISM is the world’s largest confectionary trade fair.
Minister Bruederle: “Over the last year, Germany’s economy has grown by 3.6%. People are pleased with this. They look to the future with optimism. They spend more money. So, there is also more money for chocolate, liquorice and confectionary.”
With an increase in turnover of 1.4% in 2010, totalling 12.3 thousand million euros, the German confectionary industry, characterised as medium-sized, is the third largest branch of the German food industry.
