For the 22nd time the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft [German Agricultural Society] (DLG) has awarded GdB, one of the leading companies in the sweet and savoury baked goods market in Europe, its gold “Preis der Besten” [“Prize for the Best”]. With this award the DLG honours the many years of high quality production by companies in the European food industry.

“Sustainable quality is a central success factor nowadays, and this is embodied in your company is an exemplary way. You have thus acquired a place of honour in the circle of the best of the German food industry”, declared Carl-Albrecht Bartmer, President of the DLG, during the prize ceremony in Darmstadt: “Your claim to high quality standards is the basis of the trust which consumers place in the quality of your products. The “Preis der Besten” is an objective recognition which documents the fact that this trust has been justified on a long-term basis”.

The “Preis der Besten” is only awarded to companies which have achieved top-class performances every year in the international DLG quality tests for baked good and confectionery. To receive the renowned gold award, companies must have demonstrated their quality achievements by winning prizes in the annual DLG quality tests for 15 years.
