On 11 January 2018 SWEETS GLOBAL NETWORK e. V., the international confectionery association, awarded Andreas Land, Executive Partner at Griesson - de Beukelaer, the “SG gold watch”. He was honoured for his special services to the confectionery industry at the traditional New Year reception in Munich, at which around 400 guests celebrated the start of the New Year.
Thomas Bruch, owner of the Globus retail group, made the honorific speech to his business partner and friend of many years: he drew a picture of Andreas Land as a committed man of action, who together with Heinz Gries had unpretentiously and courageously applied a clever strategy to make the traditional family company Griesson – de Beukelaer (GdB) one of the largest and most important confectionery companies in Germany and Europe. He said that his sense of responsibility, farsightedness in all his decisions and attention to detail – including for the good of the confectionery industry – were characteristic of this exceptional entrepreneurial personality.

SWEETS GLOBAL NETWORK e.V. has awarded the “SG gold watch” annually since 1972 to political and business personalities who have particularly distinguished themselves in the confectionery sector
