Successful implementation of the sustainable strategy: Griesson - de Beukelaer (GdB) has been awarded the gold medal by the ratings plat-form EcoVadis for its sustainable corporate governance. GdB is thus among the top three percent in the “Manufacturing other food products” industry sector with a proven commitment to driving forward sustainability activities in these four categories: envi-ronment, labour and human rights, sustainable procurement and ethics.
“The award from EcoVadis confirms our sustainable corporate governance. It is im-portant to us to take responsibility for present and future generations, to orientate our activities towards the challenges and to make a difference – we have implemented many measures in different areas to achieve this. The gold medal shows that we are on the right path while also encouraging us to continue driving forward our develop-ment in terms of sustainability in particular,” explains Dr Anja Ibach, Sustainability Coordinator at GdB.
For Dany Schmidt, CEO Marketing, Sales and Innovation, this outstanding rating is an important sign: “Sustainability is an important pillar of our corporate strategy. This ex-ternal, independent assessment by EcoVadis means we can transparently present our services to our business partners, customers and consumers. The assessment also gives us important pointers about where our challenges are and where we still need to improve.”
EcoVadis, the ratings agency for sustainable corporate governance, has become the world’s largest provider since its foundation in 2007. The assessment is carried out using 21 criteria in the four topic areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
