DeBeukelaer awarded the “Excellent Food” prize:
LifeCare Food Award for “Zeit der Verfuehrung”
DeBeukelaer has practised the art of baking since 1870. The accolade of the LifeCare Food Award shows the brand’s high quality and just how tempting and successful it still is today. As part of the “Excellent Food” competition, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, the “Zeit der Verfuehrung” (“Temptation Time”) biscuit assortment was awarded the prize in the “Flavour” and “Relevance” categories in Munich last Thursday.
The prize is awarded by the independent LifeCare Initiative and once a year honours especially commendable foods. The aim is to highlight those food products of the many available in Germany that contribute to a balanced diet and that are, at the same time, contemporary. The patron of the ceremony was Dr. Gerd Mueller, Permanent Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. The jury comprised of well-known experts in various fields; afterwards, the food is tried out by consumers in the home.
“What makes this award unusual is that we have convinced both a jury of experts and the consumers of our products,” said Peter Gries, press spokesman for Griesson – de Beukelaer. “Our philosophy of combining traditional values with contemporary attributes has once again been endorsed by this award”.
A tempting biscuit assortment for pure self-indulgence.
Selected ingredients, manufactured using tried and tested traditional recipes and a generous 43% chocolate content give the winning biscuit assortment its tempting character. The unique chocolate and butter biscuits with the DeBeukelaer logo, the crisp baked sticks and the filled wafers with hazelnut centres and nut pieces in a chocolate coating are tempting highlights. Fine decoration using white and dark chocolate also give the award-winning biscuits an attractive appearance. Appealing too is the packaging, a high-quality collapsible pack which can be conveniently opened upwards to reveal the whole range. The 13 biscuits are presented symmetrically on a gold tray that would grace any coffee table.
