Confirmation of sustainable corporate governance: another EcoVadis gold medal for Griesson - de Beukelaer

Major award for Griesson - de Beukelaer (GdB) for sustainable corporate governance. The family-owned business has yet again been awarded the gold medal in this year’s rating conducted by EcoVadis, the leading international organisation for rating corporate sustainability. Making this so special is the fact that even though the scores in the previous years were excellent, GdB has once more managed to surpass them. In the four sections Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Sustainable Procurement, and Ethics, GdB is in the top 2% of the companies rated in the ‘Manufacture of other food products’ industry – quite an achievement to say the least considering the fact that the standards are increasing from year to year. 

‘We’re very proud of this award,’ says a jubilant Dr. Anja Ibach, Sustainability Coordinator at GdB. ‘It confirms our dedication to doing business sustainably and responsibly. For us the gold medal is also an important sign that we’re on the right track with our strategy. We initiated and have already implemented a whole series of measures in various sectors of our company and we want to build on this in the future.’ 

For Dany Schmidt, GdB’s Chairman of the Board, the award is also an expression of the company’s fundamental approach: ‘We’re a family business so we feel we have an obligation towards the future generations.
